The Truck UnLoad button enables you to unload cargo lots from a truck to a yard location or directly from the truck onto a vessel and clear the truck for the outgate stage. At this stage, N4 assumes that the truck has already passed the ingate stage of a Receive Break-Bulk (RB) gate transaction and has entered the yard to drop off the cargo approved by a gate clerk.
The Is I/B to O/B Move Direct option in the gate form determines if direct handling is enabled for a truck unload.
Direct handling of bulk cargo is available only for truck to vessel loads.
When you create a plan for general cargo using N4, then complete the truck unload work instruction using N4 Mobile, N4 completes the work instructions.
Pre-requisites for unloading cargo from a truck:
Active Truck Visit for the specified Truck License Number.
Truck Visit is associated with a valid Bill of Lading (BL) through a Receive Break-Bulk (RB) gate transaction.
Cargo lot is manifested on the truck.
The Is I/B to O/B Move Direct option is selected in the gate form for direct truck unload.
To manifest a cargo lot on the truck as part of the ingate stage, include the CreateBreakbulkUnit (on page 1) business task at the ingate stage for the Receive Break-Bulk (RB) gate transaction type.
